Moving In...

Before deciding whether Arberglen is for you, we invite you to spend a morning or afternoon at the care home. You are welcome to stay for lunch or tea to sample the wonderful home cooked meals and speak to kitchen staff about any preferences you have. The visit allows you to spend time with other residents, use the facilities and meet the staff. During this time you are free to ask questions about life in the home, and we hope you will receive reassuring answers. We anticipate that you will find the opportunity to visit enjoyable and comfortable. If you are happy with what you see at Arberglen, and wish to move 'in' we then agree a move in date with yourself, your family and your Social Worker.

The initial four weeks of residence are considered a trial period, for you to settle into the home. Our aim is to meet your care needs and provide you with a good quality of life. A review will be held at the end of the four weeks to allow you to tell us how you have found life at Arberglen, and whether you wish to stay. If necessary, at the end of the trial period either party may terminate the agreement by giving one week's notice.
